Any volunteer representing a school or organization MUST sign in at the volunteer table on Race Day to be officially counted for their school. Volunteers need to be at Chapin High School by 7 AM to receive instruction for their volunteer activity. Volunteer activities will include handing participants water/snacks, giving participants directions on the race course, helping participants find the restrooms, late registration, packet pick up, etc.
All volunteers will receive a volunteer shirt that MUST be worn on race day to ensure participants know who to ask for assistance. Volunteers will receive a certificate on race day for four hours of community service work. Student volunteers will be finished by 9:30 AM when the awards presentation begins.
The school AND the organization with the most volunteers will receive a travel trophy to hold until next year's event. Volunteers MAY NOT register under a school and an organization, you must choose which group you are representing.
